U.S. “Not for Profit” creates strategic focus and renewed enthusiasm for its mission
This nationally recognized civil rights organization had successfully served its community for decades, however, not
without challenges. After successfully surviving a difficult financial period, demand for its services now extended across America. Like all not for profits, the current economic environment increased the challenge and made expansion choices difficult.
The new CEO recognized the need for a new strategic review prior to any new capital investment decisions. He also recognised the need to achieve buy in from all the interested stakeholders, including staff and major donors. However, speed and action were also important.
Pyramid ODI worked with the executives to develop a comprehensive but rapid process for capturing the views and opinions of employees, donors, board members and critical stakeholders on the organization's future direction. It then facilitated an intensive two day conference with of staff, board members, donors and suppliers.
The resulting report defined the future strategy of the organisation. The process made decision making faster, acceptance immediate, and implementation quicker. The result was new expansion, new services and new focus.
A great story for everyone connected to the work of the organization.
